Regence Life and Health offers Individual dental products


Regence Life and Health Insurance Company (Regence Life and Health) offers two stand-alone dental products that give members freedom to make choices and earn rewards.

Individual Dollar-based Dental puts members in control of their dental health dollars. The dollar-based product is a unique departure from traditional procedure-based coverage. For each year a member receives an examination and cleaning, he or she is rewarded with a benefit increase the following year.

  • No deductibles
  • Six month waiting period
  • No limitations or exclusions for covered services, except orthodontia, teeth bleaching and veneers
  • Coverage for 100% of the first $150 of care, 80% of the next $500 of care and 50% of remaining care until the annual benefit maximum is reached
  • Annual benefit maximum increases each year for the first four years as long as the member receives at least one exam and cleaning each benefit year


Individual Incentive Dental
offers immediate access to quality, affordable dental care. The product is procedure-based, but unlike traditional dental products, members are rewarded for receiving routine preventive care. Each year a member visits the dentist for a examination and cleaning, he or she receives greater benefits and less out-of-pocket expenses the next year.

  • No waiting periods
  • Annual benefit maximum increases each year for the first four years as long as the member has received at least one exam and cleaning each benefit year
  • Reimbursement levels are: (These levels increase each year for the first three years as long as the member receives at least one exam and cleaning each benefit year)
    • 80% for preventive care
    • 60% for restorative services
    • 30% for major services


Both plans include an optional vision rider with $150 in services and/or hardware every 24 months.
