Outpatient mental health pre-authorization requirements revised for some FEP members

Pre-authorization requirements
have changed for outpatient mental health services for Federal Employee Program (FEP) members enrolled in the Standard Option Plan effective January 1. Authorization for all outpatient mental health services must now be obtained before treatment begins. This requirement applies to Participating, Preferred and non-participating providers. Mental health professionals have been notified of this change.

To verify eligibility, plan type and benefits, contact FEP Customer Service.

If you have questions or need to obtain pre-authorization for outpatient mental health professional care, please contact Regence FEP Behavioral Health and Wellness.
