Board certification encouraged
We encourage all physicians and other health care professionals on our networks to obtain and renew certifications by a recognized board. If you are currently certified, be sure to renew your certifications to keep them current.
Keeping certification updated demonstrates your commitment to staying current with scientific knowledge and medical practice. Additionally, members and employer groups often rely on credentialing information when selecting providers.
Board certification is one of the metrics we use to determine the qualifications of providers during the credentialing and recredentialing processes. We also use certification or residency training to determine the specialty listed in our provider directories.
