electronic transactions supported and resources available.
If you are a registered Availity user and are not able
to attend one of the live webinars, a recorded version
will be available to view on the Availity Secure Portal

Availity is a full-service clearinghouse capable of meeting your electronic transaction needs.

- Easy batch submission using a toll-free telephone number
- Detailed, instant error reports
- Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)-compliant
- Claims processing for all types of physicians, dentists, other health care professionals, facilities, independent laboratories, vision hardware providers, ambulance services and suppliers of durable medical equipment
- Claims processing for all Regence and Regence Life and Health products and other payers as well
- No submission charges for Regence claims sent directly to Availity
- Conversion of electronic claims to paper claims for those payers who accept only paper - with only postage charged to you
Provider offices, facilities and billing services must use one of the following HIPAA-compliant formats to submit electronic claims to the Availity clearinghouse:
- Professionals claims: use the ANSI ASC X12N 837P 401A1 format
- Institutional claims: use the ANSI ASC X12N 837I 4010A1 format
