Regence ID cards are sent directly to you, the
employer, or to members' homes. Your employees will
also receive a new card each year at your renewal date
if they've made any changes to their plan or changed
which dependents are covered. Our goal is to get cards
out within four weeks of the effective date, renewal
date, or a new employee's start-of-coverage date. If
cards don't arrive on time, please contact your Regence
member service representative or call 1 (800) 544-4246.
If a member needs treatment before the new ID cards
arrive, advise them to give their doctor their Social
Security number and your plan's group number. If the
doctor will not provide treatment until they have a
copy of the card, call your Member Service Team at Regence.
We will contact the doctor's office and give them the
information they need so your employee can receive treatment.
It's important to remind your employees (and their
family members) that they should always carry their
card when they need care, as it simplifies billing
and reimbursements. So, if anyone needs replacements
for lost cards or additional cards for family members,
please call your group's member services representative
or call 1 (800) 544-4246. Again, it usually takes about
two weeks to process and mail new and replacement cards.
