Regence BlueShield and PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center sign new multi-year agreement
On March 11, 2011, we reached an agreement with PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center (PHSJ) and PeaceHealth Medical Group on a new multi-year agreement. Our members in northwest Washington will continue to receive in-network benefits for covered medical care received from PHSJ and PeaceHealth Medical Group providers.
The new agreement runs through June 2013, and includes a joint commitment to collaborate on the shared goal of reducing health care costs. We're confident that this agreement is equitable and preserves access for our members to quality, affordable health care at the largest health care provider in Whatcom County. Our press release gives more information about these developments.
We'll soon send letters about the agreement to our members in Whatcom, Skagit and San Juan counties. In the meantime, members can continue to use PeaceHealth providers and receive coverage at their in-network benefit level.
