06/06/2011   Mailing to group administrators explains changes to our subrogation language

To better explain contract changes that took effect on Jan. 1, 2011, we're mailing letters and endorsements to administrators for groups of 51 subscribers or more that were new or renewed between January and May of this year. The endorsement clarifies when a claim may be excluded and when we, at our discretion, may pursue a recovery on behalf of a member. The changes apply to dental-only groups as well; they will receive an endorsement clarifying the revised portions of their contract.

New and renewing groups with effective dates on or after June 1, 2011, will have the new wording in their contract and booklet. Self-funded groups are exempt from this change.
