Regence Life and Health dental rate update
Regence Life and Health implemented new dental plan designs and quarterly rates for new enrollees last fall. Beginning July 1, 2011, we began implementing annual rate increases for existing Individual dental plan members on their anniversary date. The approximate increase is 6% for 2nd quarter 2011, but may vary depending on family status and age. These are the first changes that Regence Life and Health has made to its Individual dental plans since 2009. We feel that these changes will allow them to remain competitive in the Individual market.
Products and services need to grow and change over time to reflect market conditions. That's why the company recently analyzed its Individual dental products. While the changes may have an initial impact on current long-term customers, these changes will mean better service for current and future customers in the Individual market.
