Revised submission deadline for new micro groups
We believe that each member needs to be enrolled and active in our systems prior to their effective date so that they can access medical and pharmacy services concurrent with their initial enrollment. Given the volume of new groups and the complexity of micro group data, we've found that we need to modify the group submission deadline to meet enrollment standards.
Starting with effective dates of Sept. 1, 2011, and later, all new micro groups must be submitted by the 15th of the month immediately preceding the effective date (e.g., Aug. 15 for a Sept. 1 effective date). All necessary documents, as detailed on the Micro Group reference guide, must be submitted on or before that date. If additional information is required, we need to receive it by the 20th of the month immediately preceding the effective date; otherwise, we'll move the proposed effective date out an additional month.
