2011 Medigap rates remain unchanged for this renewal
Our 2011 Medigap rates will remain unchanged for this renewal. This rate pass applies to all Regence plans - Pre-standard, 1990 Standard, 2010 Standard and SelectMed Plans A, C and F. All of our Washington Medigap plans have a March 1 renewal date.
Letters that notify our members about their Medigap plans are scheduled to be sent during the first week of February. The 30-day advance notification rule doesn't apply since there won't be a rate change. Letters for members enrolled prior to a June 1, 2010, effective date will also include the following information:
- An explanation regarding our new operating system resulting in new member cards and redesigned Explanation of Benefits (EOB) forms and billing statements
- Availability of the CareEnhance® Nurse Advice Line starting March 1
- Reminder about Surepay, our electronic payment option
- Reminder about valuable online tools and health information available at myRegence.com
Letters to members who enrolled on the new Medigap plans effective June 1, 2010, and later won't mention the new member cards or the change in EOBs and bills since their cards and mailings already reflect the new operating system. These members also already have access to CareEnhance.
Members interested in changing Medigap plans at renewal can do so by completing an Application Form and a Notice to Applicant of Replacement Medicare Supplement. We currently offer Plans A, C, F and K. In general, all Pre-standard and 1990 Standard Plans will require underwriting, and some 2010 Medigap plan transfers may require underwriting.
If you have any questions about the Medigap rates or member letter, please call Individual and Medicare Sales Producer Support at 1 (800) 557-0555 or your Regence Individual Sales Executive.
