Regence gets high eValue8 scores
Regence BlueShield recently received strong approval from the National Business Coalition on Health (NBCH), as demonstrated by our latest eValue8 scores. NBCH uses eValue8 to assess how well health plans perform compared to one another within Washington and against national "best in class" plans. We had the highest overall scores compared to participating local and national PPO plans. We also scored well in provider measurement and pharmacy management.
eValue8 is a common Request for Information tool that's widely used by health plan purchasers and business health coalitions to assess and manage the quality of their health plan vendors. It uses a standard annual request for information survey to gather hundreds of benchmarks in critical areas such as consumer engagement, provider performance, pharmacy management, prevention and health promotion, chronic disease management and behavioral health. We scored high or were ranked as "improved" in the following areas:
Provider Measurement: Our commitment to transparency can be seen in how we leverage information and technology to measure and reward solid provider partner performance on behalf of our members.
Pharmacy Management: RegenceRx is a best-practices program of comparative research, decision tools, patient and provider education and incentives to promote the safest, most effective medications. Its efforts have saved more than $1 billion in costs since 2000.
