Individual plan update for Jan. 1 rates
In September, we notified you that we're discontinuing our closed Individual plans effective Jan. 1, 2011, and explained how we will transition currently enrolled members to our newer, health-focused plans on that date.
We also notified you that the rates for our Regence EvolveSM plans were changing Oct. 1, 2010. At the same time we announced that we'd filed a rate change request with the Office of the Insurance Commissioner (OIC) for Jan. 1, 2011, to account for recent benefit enhancements.
Because our Jan. 1, 2011, rate filing is currently pending review with Washington state regulators, we're maintaining the previously approved Oct. 1, 2010, rates for our Evolve plans until further notice.
However, since the Jan. 1, 2011, rates (which we already communicated to those members moving from a closed plan to an Evolve plan) haven't been approved, we're notifying members this week that we're applying our existing Evolve rates to their new benefit plan effective Jan. 1, 2011.
