What's The Real Cost: Campaign targets employers' rising health care burden
News stories continue to address our nation's cost-burdened health care system. According to a recent article, the employer health care tab has doubled, and workers' costs have tripled. We all agree that costs are getting out of hand and that something needs to be done about it.
We have long been an advocate for reforming the health care system to address this very issue, and we continue to work to find ways to bring down costs creatively. However, history tells us that the way change really happenswhether it be in elections or through classic supply and demandis when people have incentives to make decisions that compel the market place to respond.
That's why nearly two years ago we launched a "Consumer Cost Education Campaign," with the flagship website, WhatsTheRealCost.org. This campaign provides employers, workers and individuals with information about why health care costs continue to rise, and suggests steps that can be taken to slow or even reverse the trend.
We recently added a timeline section to the site to provide consumers with even more information about health care, including current events such as health care reform.
We invite you to check out this internationally recognized, award-winning site. Learn more about rising health care costs and inspire others to take action to bring down rising costs.
