In March, President Obama signed sweeping health care reform into law. What's that mean for employers? The next issue of our popular "Health Trends" educational series is a summary of employer-specific impacts related to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 (PPACA) and the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010. These laws apply to both insured and self-funded health plans.

Health Trends outlines the top ten impacts around this new health care legislation, and provides state and federal resources for more information. We are also providing a link to the Regence Employer Center, where employers can reference past "Health Trends" white papers and e-newsletters.

This information will be revised and updated as the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the Internal Revenue System (IRS) continue to develop and issue regulations. We encourage you to share this information with your colleagues.
