Federal law necessitates amended agent agreement
Because of recent changes in federal law, we're required to update our business associate agreement with you to ensure that we meet the latest HIPAA requirements. To that end, we recently sent you a copy of the Agent Agreement Amendment for Individual and group products, along with a letter that explained these changes and updated you on various changes to some other provisions of the agreement.
The amendment was effective Jan. 1, 2010. To accept the changes, no further action is required from you. You will continue to receive any commissions associated with your accounts under the terms of the new agreement.
