Shannon Fuhrman named to local nonprofit board
At Regence BlueShield, we are actively involved in our communities. Supporting the communities in which we live and work is important to us, and that support can come in many ways, including serving on boards of directors.
Shannon Fuhrman, of Individual and Medicare Sales, was recently named to the board of directors of Senior Services, a nonprofit agency serving older adults and their loved ones in Washington. Senior Services, which was established in 1967, promotes positive aging for thousands of seniors and their families each year through its integrated system of quality programs and senior centers. More than 3,000 volunteers, together with 250 employees, make the work possible and efficient.
With vastly improved longevity and health in recent decades, the United States is becoming more mature. Senior Services expects to lead its community into a future where its older residents can remain healthy and productive longer. The organization is committed to providing a much-needed helping hand to family caregivers, many of whom care for aging parents and children simultaneously.
