11/17/2009   Some renewing groups don't need to complete GMA starting Jan. 1

Starting with January 2010 renewals (2-99) for Innova®, Engage®, ActivateSM and Regence HSA Healthplan 2.0SM groups renewing “as is" (or as defined in the renewal letter) can complete a simple Renewal Confirmation form rather than an entire Group Master Application. A Renewal Confirmation form is included with the renewal documents—right after the Underwriting Assumptions section. This also applies to groups renewing on our ExpressionsSM and EncoreSM dental plans.

Please note that any benefit or administrative changes (e.g., contribution levels, participation levels, etc.) or changes in group size that impact the application of COBRA, OBRA, TEFRA or DEFRA will necessitate completion of a Group Master Application.

If you have any questions, please talk to your Regence Sales contact.
