Three Individual plans will no longer be offered to new members
Regence is making changes to our Individual product portfolio in order to be more competitive and to better position us in Washington's dynamic Individual health insurance market. This will allow us to stabilize rates over time and help keep the Individual pool strong.
We're careful to avoid having members on health plans that are not performing well, so we manage our product portfolio to ensure its continued strength.
The following product changes are part of our ongoing efforts to offer the best health plans to our members. Ultimately, these changes will save our members money and help us provide the best possible service to them.
For effective dates of Jan. 1, 2009, and after, we will no longer offer the following health plans:
- Regence BreakthruSM 80 $1,500
- Regence Selections® Catastrophic $1,750
- Regence Preferred PPO Catastrophic $1,750
While these health plans will no longer be offered to new applicants, members who are currently on the plans may remain enrolled.
