2009 commission structure announced for Regence MedAdvantage and Part D
Regence is proud to announce our 2009 compensation structure for all Regence MedAdvantage and Part D products.
Recent CMS mandates require that many Medicare Advantage and Part D carriers reassess their current commissions and make adjustments to comply with newly regulated commissions structures.
Historically, Regence has carefully selected our agent and broker relationships based on ethics and honesty. We have rewarded those who have demonstrated a keen interest in providing superior customer service to our members and their clients. It is exciting to see CMS take a proactive approach in honoring the intent of agents, such as yourself, who are committed to retaining a beneficiary in a plan best suited for his or her needs.
Several factors contributed to our final 2009 compensation decision, and we are pleased to announce that we are able to maintain the member premium while increasing our first year commission payments. Our new compensation structure will be effective beginning Jan. 1, 2009, and will apply to all Regence MedAdvantage and Part D commissions paid for current and future policies (policies effective prior to and after Jan. 1, 2009).
