01/14/2008  U.S. HealthWorks no longer in Regence network effective Jan. 31

Regence BlueShield and U.S. HealthWorks have mutually agreed to allow their agreement to expire on Jan. 31. 2008. As a result, U.S. HealthWorks clinics will no longer be a part of the Regence network as of Feb. 1.

U.S. HealthWorks operates 10 clinics in King, Pierce and Snohomish counties. While disruptions can occur with any termination, we want to assure you that Regence has an extensive network of providers that will continue to allow members to have convenient access and choice of providers for both routine and urgent care, as well as physical therapy. We want members to have an optimal experience with any provider in our network, and we are confident that we offer choices that fit members' medical needs.

We are mailing letters today to the two groups of members who may be affected by this termination: We will include with the letter a partial list of urgent care clinics that continue to be contracted with Regence in the three counties. Member are also encouraged to review our online provider directory to find network physical therapists and primary care physicians.

If you have questions, please talk to your Regence Sales contact.
