The 2008 Latino Hero Award goes to...
We believe that building relationships in the Latino community is essential. In that spirit, Regence recently celebrated the Latino Community Heroes of Oregon, Idaho, Utah and Washington. Each of the five individuals who were recognized donated their $2,000 award to local non-profit organizations.
In each event, the heroes gave their heartwarming thanks to the people who helped and inspired them as well as giving the crowd their own personal call to action.
Each of the heroes was also featured in an ad campaign that celebrated their accomplishments and branded Regence as a company that works toward the well-being of Latinos in our communities. Henry Cruz, the recipient of the award in Washington, chose Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound as the recipient for his $2,000 donation.
