08/21/2007   Individual $1,750 deductible Selections® and PPO Catastrophic plans effective Oct. 1

We are excited to announce that $1,750 deductible Selections and PPO Catastrophic plans will be immediately available to serve the Individual market starting with effective dates of Oct. 1, 2007.

These plans provide the same benefits as the $1,500 deductible Selections and PPO Catastrophic plans that we stopped selling in July due to the new Washington state mandate governing the definition of "catastrophic health plans." The only difference is that the Catastrophic plans available for an Oct. 1 effective date have $1,750 deductibles and $3,500 out-of-pocket maximums to comply with the mandate.

The $1,750 deductible Selections and PPO Catastrophic plans feature the same values and strengths that our other Individual plans deliver to our members. Please note that these plans offer a low annual out-of-pocket maximum and a low coinsurance amount to ensure protection. The plans also include all of the extra values Regence membership brings:
